Religious etiquette in a changing world: meeting the challenges of globalization

In this article the author considers the influence of globalization on religious etiquette in a rapidly changing world and the response of the Russian Orthodox Church to the challenges of our time.

Greek Catholicism (Uniatism) as a specific type of Catholic civilization

The Greek Catholic (Uniate) Church is a specific type of Catholic civilization. Since its inception, Greek Catholicism has been a construction of a transitional, intermediate character. The indicated state of the Greek Catholic Church was predictable in nature, since it was not a state church, but acted as a specific buffer between Orthodoxy and Catholicism. This determined her fate in both Polish and Russian states. Gradually, under the influence of political processes that took place in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and the Russian Empire, a new specific type of Catholic civilization appeared.

A Study on the Influence of the Orthodox Eastern Church on Heilongjiang Culture

The ice culture of Heilongjiang Province, the northernmost province of China, originated from the Russian Orthodox Church. The influence of the Orthodox Eastern Church on Heilongjiang culture is pluralistic and omnibearing. In the process of spreading in Heilongjiang, the Orthodox Eastern Church promoted the cultural exchange between China and Russia to a certain extent, which made Heilongjiang possess both the Chinese cultural tradition and the traces of Russian Orthodox Eastern Church culture. This paper uses the methods of historical research and comparative research.

Society of expectations: dialectics and the structure of social interaction

The article summarizes the author's approaches to the study of society as a system with a bias toward the analysis of expectations in the context of the theory of the "Society of Expectations", their brief characteristics are given. A brief assessment of the relevance of "social expectations" and "expectations" in the systemic nature of the constituent elements of society from the viewpoint of the system approach is given. A new concept of the "Society of Expectations" is proposed for understanding the interdependence of society and the individual, the basis of which lies the forming "mutual expectations" along the line of interconnected evolution of expectations: "goal - value - idea – expectation".

Strategy of promotion and protection of Azerbaijani culture and values carried out by the Republic of Azerbaijan in the international arena

The formation of new thinking and the multiplication of traditional experience includes respect for original cultures and respect for new cultural trends, openness to modernization. Azerbaijan attaches great importance to the preservation of cultural heritage, both in its own country and abroad. All this contributes to even greater qualitative cultural development. Cultural dialogue is provided in several vectors: from the past to the future (preservation and protection of monuments of culture and spiritual culture); dialogue of civilizations and cultures (intercultural relations and openness to the cultures of other peoples and States at the present stage); striving for a perfect model of a highly developed, conflict-free world society, where all societies tolerate each other and mutually respect each other's culture, where there is no persecution for being a person or a people of another culture, in the name of a peaceful culture, harmony and a balanced and safe world.

Peasantry of the North Caucasus at the end of the XIX - beginning of the XX century: socio-economic development

Article is devoted to consideration of the historical reasons which influenced formation existing today the systems of a social and economic system of the region of the North Caucasus.

The unique sociocultural environment throughout centuries developing in the North Caucasus under the influence of the large-scale historical events touching the region, synthesized in itself customs, traditions and values of the different people coming to this earth that gave the chance of emergence and improvement of forms of land tenure and land use taking into account specifics of post-reform colonization and results of these processes in the form of evolution of agriculture and livestock production in this region.

Historical experience of successful economic development of the North Caucasus at the time of the Russian Empire gives invaluable historical material without which knowledge and account the internal political situation in all South of Russia can be at any time subjected to serious destabilization.
