Sources of religious information among the population of the republics of North Caucasus Federal region of the Russian Federation
Religious picture of modern Russia is largely represented by the Orthodox, so today we can talk about the media Orthodox orientation as the basic source of formation of information competence of the Russians in religious matters. This tendency resulted in the formation and development of specialized “Orthodox” segment of the General socio-cultural picture of Russian society, far superior to the volume of “Muslim” segment. In this situation the study of the views of residents of North Caucasus Federal region of different confessions concerning the sources of religious information is of particular interest. The article is based on materials of ethno-sociological research conducted in the summer in 2015 in the republics of the North Caucasus: North Ossetia–Alania, Chechnya, Karachay-Cherkessia, the Republic of Ingushetia, the Republic Of Dagestan, the Kabardino-Bulgarian Republic. The output capacity was 1,200 people, including 50 experts (journalists, scientists, government officials, members of political parties, cultural workers). Respondents and experts have expressed an opinion about such sources of information on faith and religious matters as radio and TV, CDs, tapes, MP3 players, video tapes, DVDs, print resources (magazines, books, brochures), text messages on mobile phones, social networking websites such as Facebook, Twitter, etc., other Internet resources (blogs, Internet sites, sites for sharing video), religious services or group meetings. Also, respondents evaluated the credibility of information on the religious issues obtained from family members, friends, religious leaders, academics, group/political/community leaders, TV and radio presenters, bloggers. After the analysis of the citizens and experts’ opinions on the above mentioned issues, the author comes to the following conclusion: information on religion in modern Russia serves inadequately and clumsily, religious equality is not felt. The author considers that it is necessary to deepen interfaith dialogue, which will support development of religious tolerance in Russia.
Keywords: religion, media, Orthodox, Muslims, the clergy, family, religious leaders, scientists, community leaders.

Problems of inter-confessional relations in the post-Soviet space (for example, the Baptists in Georgia)
The collapse of the Soviet Union has led not only to the destruction of the communist ideology in the new states, but also the widest dissemination of American and European sects among their population. The issue of Baptist activities in Georgia is the question of our research.
Keywords: baptists, the sect, the Caucasus, Georgia, Orthodox.
