Personality, society, and social networks

The article examines the influence of social and spiritual environments on personality formation from the perspective of classical Jewish theology. The analysis is based on the teachings of Maimonides (Rambam), Rabbi Yehoshua Leib Diskin, Rabbi Samson Raphael Hirsch, and other authoritative Jewish thinkers. Special attention is given to the concepts of ayin tova (“a good eye”) and ayin ra’a (“an evil eye”), which reveal how a person’s inner dispositions shape their perception of others. The author draws parallels between traditional texts and contemporary challenges, including the impact of digital spaces and social networks on spiritual development. A key focus is placed on the symbolism of the me’il (the High Priest’s robe) as a means of atonement for lashon hara (evil speech) by cultivating a positive outlook toward others. The article demonstrates that Jewish theological tradition offers profound ethical tools for harmonious interaction between the individual and their environment in the technological age.

Key words: personality, society, social networks, spiritual development, Maimonides, ayin tova, lashon hara, virtual environment, Jewish theology.

Rational evidence of faith: analysis of the treatise by Abusufyan al-Kazanishi "al-Burgan al-katigu fi isbat as-Sanigi" ("a convincing argument for confirming the existence of the creator")

In recent years, scientific research has shown a growing interest in the intellectual legacy of Abusufyan Akayev al-Kazanishi, a Dagestani theologian, educator and public figure. At the same time, the main attention is paid to his educational and literary activities, while his theological work, the treatise "Al–Burhan al-qati fi isbat as-sani" ("A convincing argument for confirming the existence of the Creator"), remains insufficiently studied. The relevance of the article is due to the need to analyze this work, created in 1924, which makes it an important source for understanding the strategies of intellectual resistance and the apologetics of Islam during the Soviet period. The work uses a hermeneutic analysis of the text, supplemented by a comparative study of four handwritten lists of the treatise, stored in the Manuscript Collection of the Institute of Scientific and Technical Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences and private collections. The methods of historical, philosophical and theological interpretation are used. It is established that the treatise is a systematic justification of the existence of God within the framework of the tradition of Ilm al-Qalyam. Akaev uses four main arguments: cosmological, teleological, prophetic evidence, and miracles. The author adapts classical kalamic methods to the realities of the 20th century, striving to synthesize reason and faith. The study confirms that his work is a significant contribution to the development of Islamic theological thought in the North Caucasus. The work demonstrates a high level of intellectual reflection and is relevant to the modern dialogue between science and religion. The publication and analysis of the treatise will make it possible to more fully reveal the contribution of Dagestani scientists to Islamic philosophy.

Key words: Abusufyan Akaev, Islamic theology, kalam, hermeneutics, rational apologetics.

The conflict between secular consumer society and religious thinking, as exemplified by the TV series "The Monastery"

This article analyzes the television series "The Monastery" with the aim of identifying the conflict between religious and secular thinking, as well as seeking a compromise and adapting the Christian, Orthodox "myth" to contemporary culture. The interpretation of various religious themes in cinema began during the Soviet period. Currently, the diversity of views and transformations of Orthodox symbols, artifacts, and traditions is gaining momentum. Their deconstruction and recreation create new ways of communicating with the viewer. Now they attract the attention of not only a narrow circle of people, but also a wider public. Thus, the article traces the symbiosis and conflict of various ideological models in Russian cinema of the 21st century. The analysis of the series uses the concept of myth outlined by A.F. Losev as a philosophical basis, as well as the works of V. Solovyov and N. Berdyaev devoted to the study and analysis of religious thinking.

Key words: religious, Christian, myth, neo-mythologism, sociology, postmodernism.

Value reconstruction and aesthetic reflection of northern national minority-themed documentary films

In the diverse and integrated cultural pattern of the Chinese nation, northern national minorities have constructed a rich cultural landscape in the Heilongjiang River Basin with their unique production and lifestyle, such as the fishing and hunting civilization of the Hezhen nationality, the agricultural wisdom of the Daur nationality, and the forest memories of the Oroqen nationality. As a "state album" that combines documentary and artistic elements, documentaries are an important carrier for recording and disseminating ethnic culture and promoting cultural identity. In response to the problems of cultural distortion, imbalance between documentary and aesthetic, and disconnection between tradition and modernity caused by the "gaze of others" in traditional creation, this study proposes a value reconstruction path from three dimensions: the manifestation of cultural subjectivity, the pursuit of artistic authenticity, and the integration of traditional and modern perspectives. Through participatory creation and the transformation of first person narrative perspectives, the researchers explore the deep logic of culture and construct equal communication discourse to demonstrate cultural subjectivity and break the binary opposition of "mainstream periphery". The research found that documentaries can use a storytelling framework and rhythm suspense design to optimize narrative, utilizing camera aesthetics and sound rendering to achieve audio-visual artistry, innovating scene reproduction and multimodal expression to balance documentary and artistic elements; The research also found that documentaries can record innovative forms of modern application of techniques and dissemination of intangible cultural heritage through new media, explaining the contemporary transformation of ecological wisdom and customary functions, showcasing new models of intergenerational inheritance to promote the integration of tradition and modernity, and activating cultural vitality. At the same time, aesthetic perspectives are explored from three aspects: visual aesthetic symbolization of regional landscapes, auditory landscape encoding of sound symbols, and translation of cultural metaphors through camera language. The aim is to provide theoretical references for the creation of ethnic themed documentaries, promote the visual inheritance and modern dissemination of ethnic minority cultures in the north, and inject lasting momentum into the development of diverse and integrated cultures of the Chinese nation.

Key words: northern national minorities, documentaries, value reconstruction, aesthetic perspective, cultural dissemination, audiovisual expression.

The article explores the multifaceted significance of lines as a fundamental principle of the organization of the world and human perception. Physical, social, economic and mental lines that form the structure of reality and influence everyday life are considered. Particular attention is paid to the difference between the concepts of "linearity" and "linearity" of time, where the first represents a mathematical and physical model, and the second - a philosophical and phenomenological structure of temporal consciousness. The article also discusses the sacred significance of lines in geometry and culture, their role in politics and economics, as well as their influence on the formation of social structures and identity. Contours of a new, unified world religion in the context of globalization: a transitional stage

The relevance of addressing the formation of a new, unified world religion in the context of globalization is determined by the low level of research on the topic in the scientific space, against the backdrop of active engagement with it and related eschatological ideas in contemporary religious and political spheres, mass media, and popular culture, and mass consciousness. The subject of the research is the direction of processes in the modern religious sphere (secularization and desecularization, religious modernism and religious fundamentalism, ecumenism, the "New Age" religious paradigm) under globalization. We characterize this direction as revolutionary, radically changing and abolishing the existing religious reality with its inherent pluralism and national-cultural specificity. In our analysis, we rely on a historical-materialist approach and use the dialectical method. The novelty of our research includes the conclusion that in the modern world, under the influence of globalization, two contours of global religion are being formed: for the ruling class – a complex of spiritual traditions, including fundamentalist Judaism and occultism (encompassing traditions characteristic of the Scottish Rite, among others); for the class of wage laborers, or the precariat – New Age-type Satanism in a digital guise ("dataism" by Yu.N. Harari, "digital religion" by E. Lewandowski).

Key words: globalization, new religion, secularization and desecularization, religious fundamentalism, religious modernism, ecumenism, new religious paradigm.

Virtual communication platforms and intercultural dialogue: peculiarities of mutual influence, challenges and prospects

The article aims to estimate the mutual influence of the virtual communication platforms and intercultural dialogue, to reveal the challenges it faces and to contour its possible prospects. It considers two main types of the virtual communication platforms. The first type plunges the user in another culture, makes it closer to him while the second one permits to enter the immediate intercultural dialogue. The article is first to consider the changes happened during the last decade: the transformation of the existing platforms and the appearance of the new ones, the influence of COVID-19 and current international crisis. It is concluded that virtual communication platforms contribute to the intensification of intercultural dialogue.

At the same time, there are some challenges linked to the contradiction between the interests of the state and the new types of identity as well as the new types of conflicts. The role of the virtual communication platforms will grow in the future, and the social networks originating from Asia and Africa countries will be of greater significance.

Key words: virtual communication platforms, intercultural dialogue, COVD-19, globalization, international crisis, social networks.

Genesis of the concept and essence of the civilization

The subject of the article is the concept of civilization. The purpose of the article is to identify the meaning of the concept of civilization in various discourses. The methods of axiology, hermeneutics and dialectics are ap-plied. The article presents various versions of the authorship of the term "civilization": these are the opinions of L. Febvre on the primacy of N. Boulanger, E. Benveniste and J. Starobinsky on the priority of V. de Mira-beau, as well as the version of A. Ferguson. The opinions of Russians B. Yerasov and E. Frolov are taken into account. Further, the classical theories of historical pluralism of N. Danilevsky, O. Spengler and A. Toynbee are considered, who believed that society is a series of unique, independent civilizations. Finally, the concept of V. Kryukov is presented, in which civilization is presented as a civil society and a higher stage of cultural development after savagery and barbarism, in which economic, urban and demographic factors play a decisive role. As a result, civilization is presented as a higher level of cultural development after savagery and barbarism, when people do not consume ready-made products of nature, but themselves produce the products necessary for life.

Key words: civilization, culture, tribal society, sedentarism, production, citizenship.

The cartesian foundations of science and the subjectivity of nature

The a priori prerequisites of natural science are considered: the rigid separation of the physical and the mental, and the «de-souling» of nature. The philosophical legitimization of this separation is provided by Cartesian metaphysics with its dualism of substances – extended and thinking. Nature acquires the status of a lifeless and powerless object of human manipulation. Examples from the history of philosophy and the history of science are used to explore the possibilities of overcoming the Cartesian foundations of scientific knowledge and returning subjectivity to nature. One such possibility is critically examined: the return of panpsychism as a variant of an anti-Cartesian worldview.

Key words: cartesianism, science, natural science, nature, physical, mental, body, soul, panpsychism.

It analyzes the transformation of cognitive processes in the context of digitalization and the increasing role of artificial intelligence in society. Special attention is paid to the ontological and axiological foundations of human–neural network interaction, as well as the possibilities of their integration into educational and social practices. The study concludes that neural networks not only serve as tools for cognition and the expansion of human cognitive abilities but also require a rethinking of the philosophical foundations of human activity.

Key words: philosophy, cognitive technologies, neural networks, artificial intelligence, human–technology interaction.

Metaphysical foundations of freedom in Schelling

This article represents investigation dedicated to a comprehensive analysis of the metaphysical foundations of freedom in the philosophy of Friedrich Wilhelm Joseph Schelling, aiming to maximally deepen its philosophical-anthropological dimension and its connection to the fundamental structures of being. The work systematically traces the genesis of the concept of freedom from Schelling's understanding of the Absolute not as a static substance, but as a living, dynamic process – a dialectical unity of opposites whose ultimate, incomprehensible ground resides in the pre-ontological «abyss». We subject to detailed conceptual-hermeneutical and phenomenological analysis how the principle of freedom, immanent to the Absolute, unfolds through the cosmological process of nature, conceived as an unconscious yet teleological striving towards self-expression and self-awareness, and how it finds its highest, conscious realization, and crucially, its existential trial within the human spirit. The article constructs a complex causal chain, demonstrating how the ontological architecture of being, described by Schelling, constitutes the necessary foundation for the phenomenal and noumenal reality of human freedom. Special attention is paid to the undeniable connection for Schelling between the anthropological aspect and his metaphysics, which makes freedom the central axis of his entire philosophical project, exploring its grounding in the irrational foundation and its manifestation through intellectual intuition. Furthermore, the work comprehensively examines the reception and enduring relevance of Schelling's concept of freedom within contemporary philosophical discourse – from phenomenology and existentialism to post-structuralism and theological discussions – showcasing its heuristic value for understanding the nature of human freedom, moral responsibility, and existential self-determination. The research, based on comparative, conceptual-historical, and hermeneutical analysis of Schelling's key texts and the latest scholarship on his legacy, strives to present a holistic, well-founded, and original interpretation that reveals the internal logic, philosophical depth, and innovative character of his teachings.

Key words: absolute, will, freedom, nature, spirit, self-consciousness, ground, anthropology, metaphysics, process, manifestation, causality, dialectic, self-determination, spiritual principle, natural principle, responsibility, being, becoming, logos, emanation, ontology, phenomenology, existentialism, transcendental idealism, philosophy of nature, irrational, intellectual intuition, voluntarism, phenomenological reduction, existential anthropology, theological voluntarism.

The metaphysics of the soul's vehicle: the ancient theory of the subtle body and its cultural-historical sources

This article provides a systematic analysis of the concept of the celestial chariot, or ochema (ὄχημα), as a metaphysical vehicle for the soul's transcendence in ancient philosophy, primarily within the Neoplatonic tradition. It examines the genesis and development of the doctrine of the soul's subtle bodies—the luminous (αὐγοειδές) and the pneumatic (πνευματικόν)—from the Platonic myth to its systematization in the works of Plotinus, Porphyry, Iamblichus, and Proclus. Particular attention is paid to how, based on Platonic imagery, the late antique doctrine of "double subtle corporeality" is formed, fulfilling the functions of an ontological mediator and an instrument of spiritual ascent. From a comparative perspective, typological parallels in other traditions are considered: the Zoroastrian faravahar, Jewish Merkabah mysticism, the Gnostic teaching on the "pneumatics," and the Hermetic idea of the body of light. The conclusion is drawn about the structural unity of the "light – vehicle – ascent" archetype across spiritual traditions and the system-forming role of the ochema concept in Neoplatonic anthropology and cosmology.

Key words: chariot of the soul, ochema, luminous body, pneumatic body, Neoplatonism, Plotinus, Proclus, Iamblichus, Merkabah, Gnosticism, subtle body, theurgy.

The article analyzes the impact of a city's socio-informational infrastructure on the formation and preservation of the population’s traditional values. The relevance of the study is determined by the need to comprehend the role of the cultural and informational environment in the context of globalization and digitalization. The scientific problem lies in identifying the mechanisms through which the infrastructure contributes to the reproduction of value orientations. The aim of the work is to determine the specific features of this influence using the example of a metropolitan city. The empirical basis consists of survey data from 1,067 respondents, taking into account their age and gender characteristics. The analysis revealed that the complexity and accessibility of infrastructure are directly related to the level of orientation toward traditional values. The study concludes that integrative approaches combining offline and online communications are necessary to strengthen cultural identity.

Social self-suitability and deviant practices of migrant drivers

The article examines the social well-being of migrant drivers and its impact on deviant driving practices. The research addresses the understudied relationship between migrants' psychological state, working conditions, and traffic violations. The study aims to identify key factors contributing to risky road behavior and propose mitigation measures. The methodology combines qualitative (interviews with traffic police officers) and quantitative (analysis of VCIOM data) approaches. Findings reveal that deviant practices stem from legal insecurity, cultural barriers, and economic exploitation. The practical significance lies in developing recommendations for migrant integration, improving labor regulations, and preventing traffic violations. The research outcomes can inform policymakers, employers, and civil society organizations working in migration and transportation sectors.

The disadvantages of studying at military training centers include the fee-based nature (some military training centers have a long academic process, strict military discipline, and restrictions on the appearance of cadets).

Key words: military discipline, MTC - military training center, qualification requirements, cadet, gender differences, student, educational process.
