Orthodox female monasticism of Amur Region: Past and Present
This article discusses the modern tradition of monasticism with the Amur Region convents as an example. The article reflects the main stages of the convent history and the features of the convent lifestyle. The article also identifies the main functions and mission of convents. The article denotes the main problems, which convents face nowadays in the process of formation.

Ethno-cultural parallels in the symbolism, semantics, and arts and crafts attributes of the Jewish synagogue and Orthodox liturgy
The article defines the term «Liturgy» in Judaism and Orthodoxy, and gives a comparative analysis of the semantics and the design of objects used in the Orthodox and Jewish liturgical practice: synagogue menorahs, Hanukkah and church menorahs, the Jewish Torah and the Orthodox Gospel, Jewish bsamim and Orthodox censers, vessels for wine and ritual meals.

Implementation of basic principles of the social program of Russian Muslims through Muslim organizations activities
The article discusses the social program of Russian Muslims from the perspective of the practical implementation of its provisions in the work of Muslim organizations. As a result of the research, the author comes to a number of important conclusions: the implementation of the directions outlined in the policy document complies with the objectives, however, it is more of a spontaneous character. The author concludes on the need to develop common mechanisms for implementing the key provisions of the social program of Russian Muslims.

Islamism as a form of religious extremism in the modern world
This article is written on the materials of modern world literature on the problem of religious extremism.

Philosophers and theologists discuss the sourсes of Christian ethics
The article deals with the problem of sources of ethics in the XX century. Philosophers and theologists’ approaches of different confessions (for example, Protestantism, Catholicism) are analyzed. The question if believers and atheists may come to an agreement is discussed. There is an attempt to find the way of development of philosophical and religious dialogue. The author underlines the importance of avoiding a recurrence of events which happened in the second third of the 20th century.
