From the «host» to the country of cultural innovation

The relevance of the topic of research is due to the formation of a cultural phenomenon - Hallyu or the «Korean wave».

Many researchers believe that the "Korean wave" is an adult of those values that were instilled in South Korea by the cultural codes of Japan, China and the United States. How did Korea manage not only to preserve the identity of its culture in the context of globalization, but also to make it mega-popular in the vastness of China, Japan and then the entire world space? How long did the birth of modern creative Korean culture last? What role did the drama series play in Hallyu's formation?

Social aspects of the cleansing of society in the literal and figurative senses

Based on a socio-historical analysis, the article presents the evolution of people's attitudes towards the topic of dirt, waste, garbage. This problem can be considered both in the literal sense and figuratively, associated with the social bottom, dirty thoughts, corruption, etc. The author focuses on the connection of these aspects, arguing that, thanks to the understanding of the metaphorical meaning of dirt in different the same images relating to dirt and garbage, it turned out to be possible to draw the attention of society to socially significant issues, for example, suffrage, the fight against corruption, social elevators. Visible evidence appeared of the importance of forming an ambivalent attitude towards people and the objective world, which was embodied, in the words of the famous sociologist Z. Bauman, in a garbage culture. The relevance of the topic is given by the fact that globalization, which included “globalization of garbage” in its flows, forced a more responsible approach to the problem of waste disposal, requiring not only public leaders to take into account the lessons of “garbage culture” in order to overcome the global crisis, but also take care of change attitudes towards these issues in the mass consciousness.
